WTI crude oil futures fluctuated around $66.2 per barrel on Wednesday, following two days of losses, as concerns remain that President Trump’s trade tariffs could slow global growth and hurt fuel demand. In addition, OPEC+ plans to continue increasing output, raising fears of oversupply later this year. Still, prices were supported by signs of strong summer fuel demand, especially in the US and China, as travel increases and economic outlooks improve. OPEC's latest report said global growth is likely to strengthen in the second half of 2025, boosting oil demand, with India, China, and Brazil outperforming and recoveries seen in the US and EU. In the US, summer driving and low diesel inventories are supporting prices. Traders also awaited official stockpile data after an industry report showed a small crude inventory build. Meanwhile, a drone strike in northern Iraq forced DNO ASA to halt some production.
