The HCOB Spain Services PMI fell to 53.1 in November 2024, down from 54.9 in October, and slightly below the expected 53.2, signaling continued growth in the service sector but at a slower pace. This was also the least pronounced expansion since January, partly due to the impact of flooding from a weather phenomenon, which limited growth in activity and new business. Despite this, firms remained optimistic about the future, adding staff to handle increased workloads. Input costs continued to rise, driven by higher wages, though output charges increased at the slowest rate since August 2021. The softening in new business growth and a slight decline in new export business were linked to high prices and reduced market activity. Over the next 12 months, companies expect continued growth, fueled by economic optimism and planned commercial activity.
