The annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose to 3.7% in May 2025, the highest since September 2023, up from 3.4% in the previous month. The main upward pressure came from food and non-alcoholic beverages, with inflation accelerating to 9.9%—the highest since June 2023—compared to 8.9% in April. At the same time, costs rebounded for furnishings and household equipment (0.6% vs -0.6%), while inflation also picked up for recreation and culture (4.4% vs 3.3%), restaurants and hotels (6.2% vs 5.8%), and health (6.4% vs 6.3%). Meanwhile, inflation sharply eased for housing and utilities (0.2% vs 1.0%), and prices continued to decline for transport (-6.4% vs -5.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2%, following a 0.3% increase in April.
