The S&P Global Greece Manufacturing PMI edged down to 53.1 in June 2025 from 53.2 in May, marking the weakest expansion in factory activity since February. The slowdown was mainly due to weakened export demand, impacted by global uncertainty and US tariffs, which partially offset a sharper rise in new domestic orders. Output and purchasing activity remained solid, while employment rose for the seventh consecutive month, though at the softest rate since January. Firms also reduced backlogs of work, and stocks of purchases increased for the first time in three months. On the price front, input costs rose at a faster pace, driven by higher energy and raw material prices, while output price inflation was the steepest rate since March. Finally, business confidence slipped to an eight-month low amid mounting geopolitical and economic concerns.
