Estonia’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 304 million in June 2025 from EUR 307 million in the same month of the previous year, as exports rose more than imports. Year-on-year, exports advanced by 6% to EUR 1,443 million, driven by higher shipments to non-EU countries (10%) and EU countries (4%). Among commodities, notable increases were seen in transport equipment (21%), wood and articles of wood (13%), and textiles and textile articles (12%). Meanwhile, imports grew at a softer 5% to EUR 1,747 million, with increased purchases from non-EU countries (13%) and EU countries (3%). Arrivals went up for articles of plastics and rubber (22%), transport equipment (22%), and miscellaneous manufactured articles (22%). Considering the first half of the year, the country recorded a EUR 1,766 million trade shortfall, widening from a EUR 1,608 million gap in the corresponding period a year earlier.
