The annual inflation rate in Luxembourg rose to 2.19% in June 2025, the highest since June 2024, accelerating from 2.01% in May. The increase was primarily driven by faster price increases in housing and utilities (5.70% vs 5.38% in May), transport (1.01% vs 0.40%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.19% vs 1.46%), and recreation and culture (2.18% vs 1.14%). Conversely, the upward pressure was partially offset by slower inflation in household goods and maintenance (0.25% vs 0.43%), health (0.88% vs 1.43%), clothing and footwear (0.85% vs 1.20%), and restaurants and hotels (2.21% vs 2.91%). Meanwhile, prices fell at a steeper pace in communication (-4.64% vs -3.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.13% in June, easing from a 0.61% increase in May.
