Consumer prices in Cyprus fell by 0.30% year-on-year in October 2025, easing from the previous month’s 0.70%. This marked the sixth consecutive month of deflation, as costs fell at a softer pace for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-2.14% vs -2.76% in September), clothing and footwear (-6.74% vs -7.25%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-1.08% vs -2.29%), furnishings, household equipment and supplies (0.98% vs -1.22%), and transport (-0.38% vs -0.97%). At the same time, price growth accelerated for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.33% vs 0.11%), education (3.48% vs 3.40%), and restaurants and hotels (4.44% vs 4.40%). In contrast, price growth slowed for health (1.20% vs 1.39%), recreation and culture (2.07% vs 3.31%), and miscellaneous goods and services (0.60% vs 1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.5% in October 2025, following a 0.6% growth in the preceding period.
