The number of foreigners visiting Turkey increased by 6.1% year-on-year to 2.17 million in January 2025, following a 4.2% rise in the previous month. Arrivals notably grew from Iran (+13.6% to 240.6 thousand), Bulgaria (+2.1% to 165.8 thousand), and Germany (+5.4% to 150.6 thousand). In contrast, visits mainly declined from Russia (-11.6% to 203.7 thousand), and Georgia (-4.3% to 93.1 thousand).

The consumer confidence index in Turkey rose to 82.1 in February 2025, marking its highest level since June 2023, up from 81 in January. All subindexes showed improvement, including households' financial situation expectations for the next 12 months (83.1 vs. 80.5), general economic situation expectations for the same period (79.3 vs. 79.1), and spending propensity over the year ahead (100.3 vs. 94).
