Malaysia’s annual inflation rate stood at 1.1% in June 2025, slightly below market expectations and May’s 1.2%. This was the lowest figure since February 2021. Core inflation—which excludes volatile fresh food and administered prices—held steady at 1.8% yoy for the second month, remaining at its highest pace since November 2023. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1%, matching the increase seen over the previous two months.
