Household spending in Sweden fell by 0.4% month-over-month in March 2025, reversing from a downwardly revised 1.0% rise in the previous month. Consumption declined in several sectors, including transport, retail sales, and motor vehicle services (-0.7% vs -0.6%), housing, electricity, gas, and heating (-1.4% vs 0.5%), and post and communications (-1.9% vs 3.0%). Meanwhile, food and beverage spending stalled after a 0.3% rise in February.
