On the corporate front, steelmakers advanced, with Korea Zinc jumping 8.1%, Hyundai Steel up 2.1%, and Posco Holdings adding 0.8% following reports of a $700 million green bond deal. Hanwha Ocean, however, slipped 0.7%, despite posting a more than 320% surge in Q1 net profit to 215.7 billion won.
