The S&P Global Russia Services PMI fell to 50.5 in February 2025, down from January’s 12-month high of 54.8. The latest reading marked the softest expansion in the service sectors since last September, as new orders grew the least in seven months. Meanwhile, employment increased faster amid a further accumulation of backlogs of work and signs of strain on capacity. Output continued to rise, signaling only a fractional increase and one that was the joint-weakest in the current eight-month sequence of growth. On prices, both input cost and output charge inflation eased significantly amid efforts to boost new sales, with input cost inflation slowing to the weakest since July 2020 while output inflation eased to a 10-month low. Finally, business sentiment remained positive amid hopes for stronger demand conditions.
