Frankfurt's DAX 40 index rose 1% to 24,200 points on Tuesday, attempting to recover from Monday’s losses as investors shifted their focus from concerns over slowing growth and the perceived imbalance of the US-EU trade deal to corporate earnings and the Federal Reserve’s two-day policy meeting, which begins today. On the corporate front, German online pharmacy Redcare Pharmacy surprised markets by reporting higher second-quarter operating earnings compared to the same period last year. Software provider TeamViewer also delivered strong results, particularly in terms of profitability. However, the mood was dampened by semiconductor supplier Süss MicroTec, which downgraded its profit outlook for the year, and chipmaker Siltronic, which issued a cautious forecast for 2025, citing the absence of a meaningful demand recovery.
