Meanwhile, White House officials on Monday confirmed President Trump’s plan to reduce tariffs on auto parts for U.S.-made vehicles, following an earlier report by The Wall Street Journal. On the domestic data front, German consumer morale hit a 8-month high in May. Among individual stocks, Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank was in focus, rising 3.1% after posting higher-than-expected first-quarter profit. In contrast, Porsche AG plunged as much as 7.6%, set for its steepest single-day drop ever, after delivering a grim forecast on Monday and disappointing first-quarter results. Meanwhile, Adidas announced a 155% jump in first-quarter profit, but held back from raising its 2025 financial forecasts, citing tariff uncertainty.
