The DAX closed about 0.4% higher at 21,511 on Tuesday after a volatile session, recovering from sharp losses the previous day, supported by strong corporate earnings and easing global trade war concerns following the temporary pause on Canadian and Mexican tariffs. The White House also announced that President Trump would speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping after the US and China imposed new tariffs on each other. On the corporate front, chipmaker Infineon stood out, surging over 10%, following the release of its first-quarter results and a slight upward revision of its full-year revenue outlook. Moreover, auto stocks and tech companies experienced a modest recovery.
