[美食]今天午餐得意之作-甜品布丁!
在三明治最后切边的步骤,通常会余下很多面包条,扔掉就浪费,之前偶都是放烤箱烤焦脆些,当零食咔吧咔吧,当然味道就会差很多,
今天早餐,偶想出一个好的办法,,先把需要数量的面包片都叠起来,小心的切成一样大小的方形,做成三明治;
然后把剩下的面包边条,按下面配方,变成了午餐甜品,
Bread & butter pudding with whisky sauce
Absolute decadence! The best bread to use is a white cob loaf with good hard crust.
Ready In: 1¼ hours Serves: 8-10
Ingredients: Pudding 8 thick slices white bread (see Cook’s Tips) 2-3 Tbsp softened butter 1 litre milk 6 eggs 1 cup sugar 2-3 tsp vanilla essence ½ cup sultanas or raisins Whisky sauce 1 cup sugar 2 Tbsp water 100g butter ¼ cup whisky 2 eggs, lightly beaten ¼ cup cream, optional
Method: To make the pudding 1、Spread 4 slices of bread with butter and make into a sandwich with the remaining 4 slices. Cut into chunks or wedges and place the bread into a large bowl. Pour the milk over and set aside. 2、Beat together the eggs, sugar and vanilla until the mixture is quite thick and creamy. Pour into the soaked bread with the sultanas or raisins and stir well. 3、Transfer the mixture to a well greased, 6-8 cup capacity, ovenproof baking dish. 4、Bake in a water bath at 180°C for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted comes out clean. 5、Serve warm with whisky sauce.
To make the whisky sauce (This is ready in 10-15 minutes and makes 3/4 cup.) 1、Put the sugar and water into a small saucepan and heat gently, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. 2、Transfer the syrup to the top of a double saucepan and stir in the butter, whisky and eggs. Cook over mildly simmering water until the sauce has thickened. Stir in the cream, if using.
Cook’s tips • Use a light wholemeal bread, if you like. Do not use a heavy one as it will detract from the delicate flavour of the dish. Also try brioche (oh, so decadent then!) • To create a water bath, also called a bain marie, you will need a roasting pan or similar dish, and it must be larger than the item being placed into it to cook. Place the bread and butter pudding into the roasting dish and then transfer to the oven. Once there, fill the water bath. The water should come ½ way up the sides of the pudding dish.

个人喜欢在蔬菜下面铺上纸,吸掉多余水分,而且用完后扔掉,盘子仍然干净,
烤箱190℃预热,烟肉卷儿准备好了,
大约15-20分钟就好了,烟肉颜色会很漂亮,可惜一上桌就被消灭光,偶都没来得及拍PP,

用美味法式面包片搭配烟肉卷,配方如下,
Grilled French brunch bread
Ingredients:
½ French stick
2 eggs
½ cup cream, or milk
½ cup finely grated Parmesan
1 Tbsp wholeseed mustard
1-2 tsp curry powder
butter, for frying
Method:
Cut the French stick into 1cm-thick slices. For a nicer look, cut them on the angle.
Beat together the eggs, cream or milk, cheese, mustard and curry powder with a good pinch of salt.
Dip the slices of bread into the mixture, allowing them to soak up some of the mix. Drain and cook in a hot well-buttered frying pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes and then turn and cook a further 2 minutes until golden.
Serve sprinkled with chopped chives, flaky salt and ground pepper, alongside eggs, ham, bacon, tomatoes or hot-smoked salmon
