Clears Its 2007 Low, Resumes Its Medium Term Downtrend. USDJPY- A fourth-day of consecutive downside losses saw USDJPY break and close below its key resistance/2008 low at 104.97 on Friday, its lowest price since Mar 20’05.With the loss of this level, the pair is now expected to accelerate further towards the 103.63 level, its Mar’05 low before its 1.618 Fib Ext.at 102.73 and then its Jan’05 low at 101.54.The daily/weekly studies continue to head lower supporting the present downside weakness. Conversely, the 104.97 level which has been eroded is expected to prove resistance ahead of the 107.22 area, its Nov 26’08 low and later the 109.13/108.99 zones. Others resistance levels are located at its Aug 12’07 low at 111.58 and its Sept 12’07 low at 112.60.In short, the erosion of the 104.97 level has now put the pair on the path to further lower prices.
